Review summary

This cruise was planned a hear in advance and worth it. We did have an issue with some of our planned amenities being changed during the course of waiting since we planned so far in advance but we received a credit to alleviate some of the heartache. The service was top notch. The cleanliness and food were awesome. There was something to do all every time slot that you could imagine so it was up to you to take downtime. I can't imagine staying on the ship while in port but there was plenty to do if you did. My main issue is that you have to understand the packages before you sail. The standard package doesn't include any drinks aside from water and you have to know the specific restaurant locations per your package and what is included or you'll be asking at each location what is complimentary. The packages you choose will also depend on if you are a drinker and how many wifi enabled devices you need. Aside from those things, the ship and the ports were exactly what we needed.

Embarkation

Streamlined! as long as you followed the prep steps prior to arriving, you will breeze through.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The service is excellent and there are many dining options. You must be aware of what is included in your travel package because that denotes where you can and can't eat and what you can/can't have along with number of specific specialty items.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There are a good number of activities available. I believe the obstacle course and zipline were not operable but most other areas were fully functional.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Some of the activities, comedy, and music did not span all cultures, but it was all appropriate.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My daughter loved the teen area.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff were courteous and kind, especially the dining staff and the stateroom crew.

Cabin / Stateroom

My wife wants to know where she can get the linens and comforter for our home!

Ship tip

Get very clear on what is/is not included in your sailing package. This will alleviate a lot of confusion to decide on standard/plus/premium.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
Boarded, not much exploration and this is far from city center of Rome.

NAPLES (POMPEII), ITALY

5 out of 5
Not enough time to see it all. Must take an excursion if you have never been.

Chania, Crete

5 out of 5
Not enough time to see it all. Must take an excursion if you have never been. The port was in the middle of two very good sites to see. No way to see them both...beaches or ruins?

Istanbul, Turkey

5 out of 5
Not enough time to see it all. Must take an excursion if you have never been. So many historical sights and you will not have time to scratch the surface of the bazaar.

Mykonos, Greece

5 out of 5
Just the right amount of time.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

5 out of 5
Great time there but this was disembarkation so we had all the time we needed.

Disembarkation
