Review summary

The best part was getting on the ship and having a hot dog. The ship left 3 hours late and the food was not very good at all. The 2nd day I was walking down the steps and step on something and broke my leg and had to go to the hospital for 5 days. I never completed my cruise and was charge 1 thousand dollars for medical attention. I wanted t know if I was going to get a refund on my unused days of tips and port fees and the 2 trips I booked and no one got back with me yet. I tried to call and would not give me customer service number so I emailed them and still did not hear back yet. WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR ME? I never got to see Alaska, I waited 6 years to go and problem never be able to do it again.

1 star because you cannot hold the hand railing which is clearly stated on all Princess cruise ships. Sorry to hear about anyone getting injured on vacation , however you need to own this one.

Yes, you are correct Dottie. Original post did not mention lawsuit.

rgbenning    7 years ago

Pay a little more attention to posted replies Dottie, several individuals talked about lawsuits.

DottieDiehl    7 years ago

Boompap doesn't say in his post he's suing. Just asking for a comp for future cruises.

rgbenning    7 years ago

Come off it! If he injured himself walking down steps why can he not even identify what he stepped on . He only references it as something. Am I the only one who finds that strange? If I stepped on an item that caused me to "broke" my leg I would sure as $hit know what I stepped on! Take responsibility for oneself, buy insurance and stop trying to use the courts to compensate for stupidity.

Since you got hurt on the ship the cruise line should offer you something.

rgbenning    7 years ago

Good luck with him trying that, ckaplwn. Most likely would get throw out of court!

If you had purchased trip and medical insurance like any reasonably intelligent traveler would you would not be in the position you find yourself in. Having said that I will say your experience sucks for sure. To everyone that reads the original post let it be a lesson about getting insurance!

Sure, tell him to sue with out knowing what happened. Boompap, hope you're on the mend, and the cruise line reaches out to you to rectify what ever happened.

you should sue

Call the Princess Customer Service #1-800-774-6237 and request to speak to the Customer Service Manager. Have your booking # handy. Wishing you well healing. Did you see what was on the steps or did your foot miss a step?

So sorry you broke your leg. Unless you got trip insurance, you probably will not get a refund. I would call the cruise line or travel agent to cancel your other cruises.

Did you get insurance when you booked the cruise?
