Review summary
Was a very nice experience overall but it was hard for us to get everywhere on time. Was not as relaxing as we thought. There are time constraints on everything and it cost more money than we thought. Coffee drinks were around 8.00, and gratuity was not included in the original price, it was added on everyday. Room service was not complimentary and also had its own gratuity. The staff told us they did not receive the gratuity either. We are big on tipping if it is deserved and would have liked to had done it ourselves. We just didn’t know as it was our first time. The balcony cabin is certainly worth it compared to the staterooms. There were more children on the cruise than we expected. Next time we will know to take a more adult cruise. Little kids were in the hot tubs and all over the swimming pools so we stayed away from those. Disney movies were played on the movies under the stars which did not interest us so we didn’t do that either.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Had a person in wheelchair, the whole party was able to get on with him
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Desserts were amazing! Buffet was not so great, specialty restaurants were also very good
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
There were lines for everything and it was hard to hear the announcements for the activities. One was paper airplane flying in the promenade. Really?
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Could not get in to shows, lines were too long to wait in.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
No kids this time with us, but there was a teen center and also many things to do for children.
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Our room steward was very hard to understand therefore when we asked for something, he did not get it. He never smiled. It was hard to understand everyone who worked on the ship with their accents.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Was very clean. We were all asked to wash our hands before the buffet to help limit the spread of disease, but not all passengers abided by this.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Small. Tiny shower and bathroom only room for one at a time. Electrical outlet did not work for curling iron. Bed was only good thing, very comfy. Only about 15 hangers for two people. Chairs pretty shabby outside. Dirty balcony with bird poop upon arrival was gross.
Ship tip
Get a balcony even though it’s still small. If you can afford a suite, do it.
No excursion but Seattle is beautiful. Hard to find a good hotel by the port, taxi to it was 40.00, hotel room was 194 for two people about 3 miles away. Expensive restaurants. Hard to walk places because of steep hills.
Locals were much nicer. We took a 5 glacier plane ride with Wings Airways. Beautiful and pilot took us for longer than the time allotted to us. Little loud in the plane but very pretty scenery and worth the 265 per person.
Got there at 7 and supposed to leave at 11. Took 30 minutes to take s shuttle back and forth. Not enough time because of having to have luggage packed on the ship by evening too. The next day was embarkation at 7 so we would have gotten no sleep.
