Fabulous combination of exciting & relaxing!

Room Type: Balcony

We originally booked this cruise due to price, time frame, & itinerary.  The stops were all very interesting & the number of sea days allowed for enjoyment of many on board choices of activities also.  As it is a smaller ship, the staff had the time to be much more personal & we felt we were treated like friends rather than customers.  This was the last voyage of the Splendour as RCL has sold her to Thompson.  That made for a really one of a kind cruise - as all the staff & entertainers recognized that each activity was the last on board this ship!  Great fun!

Cabin / Stateroom
We had a couple of plumbing issues that caused grief. We did receive compensation, but it was annoying. Otherwise, the bed was fine, lots of storage. Balcony was great. Furniture was scratched up & old. Refrigerator barely cooled.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Ship Quality
The ship is definitely getting older, but it was clean & most things were maintained. Definitely ready to be refurbished. Loved the smaller size & everything was set up well.
Destinations and Excursions
So happy that we got to stop in Israel. And Dubai was AMAZING!!!!
Onboard Activities
Service and Staff
Our formal dining room staff - Li & Jose were the best we have ever experienced. Talita, one of the Activity Staff that did the Exercise classes was superb.
Food and Dining
Formal dinning was awesome. The buffet was varied & excellent. Never got bored with the options. Well maintained & tasty.

Lots of activities took place in the centrum. Not the best, but it worked.
