Was VERY pleased with my whole experience aboard the Sirena. by mjqrc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Sirena / Destination: Cuba

I was entirely satisfied with everything. The food was terrific. The staff was gracious and accommodating. We were kept informed each day. The talks were excellent. Ventriloquist was entertaining. The karaoke music was too loud and drowned out the singers. Would recommend this cruise.

Itinerary and food were the good points only by BillieRae

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sirena / Destination: Cuba

First time on Oceania, very small ship. Entertainment beyond poor, no steel bands by the pool, they had four singers who were good but the band wasn't, an old comedian who was just okay, walked out on everything, nothing exciting in the very very small and limited casino. Other than going to Cuba and the private island the cruise was boring. I must say the food was the best of any line. Unless it was a specific itinerary I would never sail on Oceania again.

Please Oceania, try harder, much harder Sirena. Hope this isn't the new way you're heading. by pandora1958

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Sirena / Destination: Cuba

If this had been my first cruise on Oceania it would have been my last had I not been on TWENTY THREE prior cruises with Oceania. Something was just wrong! The MDRn food leaves a lot to be desired. The best meal was in Tuscan/Polo.

Great ports, service and cuisine has deterioated by janetmbirnkrant

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sirena / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This was our 13th or 14th Oceania cruise- have lost count. Each time the service and food has gotten a notch less (maybe since lines merged. We took a break for a year and traveled on Regent which was a delight. Went back this time to try Ocenia's newest ship, Sirena. Very disappointed. Regent was the best. Have reservations for Chrystal next year in addition to Regent Summer 2019 and looking forward to that voyage on Explorer (Regent) - great service and excellent food.

Lovely Cruise Through the northern Mediterranean Sea by roselkoz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sirena / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

A few of the excursions on this itinerary seemed like they were just thrown in to avoid having a shorter cruise. I think that there must be some better ports than Bastia and Olbia.

Interesting Cultural Experience by infonurse

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sirena / Destination: Cuba

Cuba is a trip that will provide you with a step back in time. There is very little commercial branding noted. The people live very simply and do with very little. Their music is amazing and their resilience is evident. This is a trip that should be done at least once in a lifetime.

Cruise to Cuba by Bobleen

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sirena / Destination: Cuba

The cruise was as advertised. A second day in Santiago de Cuba in lieu of one of the stops in the Bahamas would have made for a better cruise.

So Much Right, So Much Wrong by Jlsoftly

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sirena / Destination: South America

There was so much right and wrong about the cruise. When you can't use the toilet in your cabin and they can't get your wife's food correct, it spoils the whole cruise experience. Our previous experience on the Oceania Marina was entirely different. My final word for Oceania is this. Viking Ocean cruises is coming for you with a fleet a brand new ships and a base cabin that is better than this ship's veranda cabin. The days with you can compete with an outdated ship and an inferior cabin (bathroom) design ARE NUMBERED. The word is going to get out. A 'luxury cruiseline'. Not on this ship.

South American Adventure to the End of the World by ghswartz214

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sirena / Destination: South America

The single biggest factor for us was uncooperative weather and rough seas. It forced us indoors instead of being able to lounge on the deck. It resulted in overcrowding of the Terrace Café because no one wanted to eat outdoors. Some indoor activities were filled up before the scheduled times because being outdoors was not much of an option.

Was on the Serena on... by cajungene

Sail date: /
Ship: Sirena

Was on the Serena on the Samba to Seashells (Rio to Maimi) in Jan-Feb 2017 The Good - Very good Itinerary. Jungle tour in Belem, Brazil was interesting and informative. - Devils Island was worth a stop and after all who has ever been to Devils Island - Salvador, Brazil; Barbados, St. Lucia and Antigua are good stops - Dottie-Good Cruise Director who herds cats with the best of them - Good port and specialty lectures (On this cruise the specialty was astronomy) - Service and Variety in the Terrace Cafe was great. Much prompter than the Main Dining Room - The Barista Aldo was great - Many of the tours start later in the morning so you don’t have to rise at 6AM for an 8AM tour. - For smokers there is a part of the pool deck were they can indulge - Good bar tenders - Good cabin steward - Ship is older, but well maintained - Any of the wine/food tasting tours are fun and a great way to meet the locals The not so good - Red Ginger Asian Restaurant was disappointing. When you try to do fusion of Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese you will get more hits than misses. - Tuscan Grill had great steaks, but sloooooow Service. - Main Dining Room Waiters need better training. We orders Escargot and when we ask for an escargot/seafood fork the waiter thought we were from mars. Attention to detail is not a strong suit. - If you eat Dinner anywhere except for the Terrace Cafe eat early (6:30) Service is so slow that you will miss any activity that starts before 8:45. Most shows start at 9. - Ditch the stop at Fortelaza, Brazil, and the little train tour in St. Lucia. - Internet is spotty and goes down more than you would expect. Overall good cruise, wish Oceania would go all inclusive, but they are not and I that Business Model works for them. Would cruise with them again.

Many passengers Quarantined for the flu on Sirena. by Briardonguard

If it was not for getting the flu and being quarantined to my room the cruise was awesome. Great new friends made great bed, expensive drinks and souvenirs.

Last cruise on Oceania! by jtwhitlaw

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sirena / Destination: South America

The tour office on the ship was unpleasant and Juan was particularly difficult. We were scheduled for 8 tours and only went on 4 one of which we paid extra. We lost money on cancelled tours and were under this ship's doctor to miss two others. The ship was under quarantine because of influenza and respiratory sickness. I recommended to the doctor that masks be provided to all passengers. Nothing happened!

Customer Service from and Oceania Awful - Food and Cabin Service Great - No Port Support by bdonato

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sirena / Destination: South America

Called Oceania and I was yelled at. Called and had to deal with incompetence. The agent costs us about $2,000 because she did not know that we could have done our own air and gotten the $1,000 credit. Several other guests had the same issue.

Transatlantic from Barcelona to Miami by daisyow

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

Absolutely amazing. My only observation is that the ship dies out about 10pm after the show. I wish there was more late night activities and food service available.
