Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5

Terrace Café

5 out of 5

We enjoyed the terrace cafe so much that we’ve never eaten at the gdr. We enjoy the quick buffet service and the casual attire while eating under the stars. Plus, the food is amazing!!!

Waves Grill

5 out of 5

No better place on the ship for breakfast. Looking at the sea with the wind. Though had to get hot food from terrace cafe. Only place to eat from 2-4pm.

Tuscan Steak

4 out of 5

Fantastic food slightly offset by slow service. We are there twice this cruise. First meal took almost 1.5 hrs. So for 2nd meal we skipped appetizer and dessert.

Entertainment

Enjoyed the comic and the OLife speaker but didn’t do anything else.

Ship Quality

Steward staff so outstanding that we give additional tip.

Cabin / Stateroom

A bit smaller than Riviera but entirely usable. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very clean, quiet and fridge stocked with sodas. 6ft 2 husb quickly learned to easily use shower.

Ship tip

Large quiet library and you can have lounge chairs on promenade deck.

Ports of call

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

Do the Cable Car! The only one in Caribbean!!! See the umbrella street and the pink street. Surprisingly clean for where it was. Husb walked deep into barrios to experience the poverty and people who were always friendly and welcoming. So even the poor side had something to offer if you’re willing to go. Just do it in daylight.

Kingstown, St. Vincent

3 out of 5
Fine during daylight only but rather industrial with scenic items nearby a bit far to walk.

Gustavia, St. Barthelemy

5 out of 5
High end shopping, clean, easy to get around, people friendly, nearby sites easy to get to but is expensive. Nearby Shell beach-gorgeous!

Roseau, Dominica

Really not much to see or do in our near town. Do an excursion.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Spent 7hrs walking the old town having a great time. So much to see and do. The people came out after 2pm on Black Friday making fun crowded streets.

Miami, Florida
