The Service of the staff far exceeded expectations. At any moment on the ship we had attentive crew meeting all needs.  From offering drinks and food, to offering to push my fathers wheel chair.  He preferred to stay on board as we all (4 siblings and spouses) went ashore, but we felt very confident that his private butler would attend to any need.

The Wildlife and Glacier viewing were all that we would wish for.  Hubbard Glacier access was incredible and the Shadow was able to get unusually close...the photography was awesome. On an whale watching excursion we watched humpback mother and calf breach in circles around our boat...lifetime memories all around.

Only improvement would be to have a few offerings of Northwest seafood.  The Salmon served was Atlantic and there seemed to be no local seafood...i.e. Northwest Salmon, Dungeness crab, etc.  We are from the Northwest and would have expected it on an Alaska cruise.  The portions offered were perfect, a lot of care went into presentation, the wines overall were good.  I would rate the food at 4 stars but only because of lack of Northwest offerings on an Alaska cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom
Embarkation and Disembarkation
smooth and outstanding accommodation when we left a bag at the disembarkation baggage area...a Silver Seas staff took a taxi to deliver it to the airlines so that it could be checked onto our flight. Amazing
Ship Quality
Unusual access to main rooms from our cabins on 9th floor requiring access down one elevator (due to our use of a wheelchair) to a floor that went through...thought it would require a lot of waiting but it was available whenever we needed it.
Destinations and Excursions
Onboard Activities
Enjoyed the history lectures quite a bit.
Service and Staff
Martin in Dining did an amazing cake for my birthday. Ferdinand decorated my room over the top and I will never forget. Pedro was impeccable as our many staff stepped up to perform beyond the norm but i did not get their names...
Food and Dining

Book your restaurants early but don't worry if you end up with not getting what you want...we were able to easily book on board for the number of reservations we wanted.
Plan your excursions around the in port schedule. We booked an excursion that did not allow us any time in the port to explore..
