Super Excellent. I loved the Baltic ports. I might have to go again.
Embarkation

It was a line. Sara “embarked” us, and we talked about seeing her sing and dance in the shows!

Just to mention, when I try to click to leave a comment, a pre-determined “thank you,” or other inadequate note appears.
AS TO THE FOOD and DRINK on the Explorer, it was Wonderful. I think we ate everywhere at some point. Great bartenders like Anastasiia and Veta made special cocktails while the sommeliers alway found wonderful wines. Breakfast in the room arrived HOT! The Pool Grill is great for casual dressed people home from the excursion wars while everyone else is busy getting gorgeous. Every venue had great food and variety. I had several bona fide fine dining experiences. The coffee was my least favorite thing.

I like the spa. The pool and jacuzzis looked great, and the pool was warmed. I did some other things, like a lecture or two. Everyone was enjoying different things at different times. I wasn’t in my room when the deck hall party was announced, but my husband had a great time. I do sincerely miss having Missed the vodka and caviar party when docked in Russia.
Entertainment

Great!! Super Great, actually. The last night my companions and I were in the Meridian - a smaller venue w a bar, and we were treated to a jazz concert that was out of this world.

Everyone was lovely. Very dear people from Captain Serena to the almost invisible deckhands. A friendly crew, who did everything they could for us.
Ship Quality

This is the Regent Seven Seas Explorer we’re talking about here. Everything you’ve heard about it’s lavish but tasteful design is true. And the cleaner-uppers were working all the time (but mostly at night when few guests were around).

Ship tip
Do Not miss the time your bus will return you to the ship. Some excursions take you far afield.
I am still making that assessment. The price for a Regent cruise includes Biz class air, all drinks, excursions (there are some that cost, but most are free). There is No upselling - not even in the spa. Prices in the shops onboard are better than on Princess (I like Clarins cosmetics, and I price-checked them on both ships). There is no tipping (Regent personnel are supposed to turn them down, although I tipped anyway for special service). I don’t think you can get “4 or 5 Princess Cruises” for one Regent cruise, after all is added up, honestly.
It's obvious that Regent is well above the standard cruise lines like Princess but is the price worth it? If you only had money for one Regent cruise, would you rather go on it or trade it for 4 or 5 Princess cruises?
