Review summary

This was my second Royal Caribbean cruise and my first time to Alaska, and I can't wait to do both again. A overall 5-star excellent experience!!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth embarkation. Royal has guests divided into smaller groups with a streamlined process which is much more pleasant than last time I cruised years ago.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining, buffet, snacks, bars, and latte bar were all excellent. Did not dine in the specialty restaurants this time - there was no need with so much great food in the main dining room and the buffet dining room!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Fitness center, dance classes, and spa were all above expectations.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Excellent entertainment every night.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Couldn't have asked for better service from every staff person I interacted with.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
One thing Covid has done is make everything shiny, sparkly clean everywhere. THey had people cleaning everywhere you looked!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cruise cabins are always small, but it was comfortable, well designed, and very quiet.

Ship tip

Don't miss the views from the 13th deck. It's a nightclub at night, but during the day, it's a great place to sit and sip your coffee and watch the breathtaking Alaskan landscapes.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Disembarkation was a MESS - but it was a customs issue with Canadian customs, which isn't the cruise line's fault.
