Review summary

Eastern Caribbean is a must. There are ports around this world that offer a great learning experience. JUST DO IT. Although I had a bad experience with my stateroom, the rest of the trip was positive for my wife and I. As we have done on previous cruises ... "meeting new people from different parts of the world only expands your network of friends".

Embarkation

Smooth and rather quick, Great pre-check in system

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dining great, buffet not so great, average. Specialty restaurants are the way to go. You pay a little more but it is worth it.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pool was not to crowded but the hot tubs were always busy. Did not do the rock climbing but I have seen some guest enjoying it. Mini golf was good.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Enjoyed every show the ship presented. Comedy, musicals, and lounge bands.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
There is no doubt that the staff are very very hard workers. It shows. Cabin steward was seen constantly working ... does he ever sleep? Dedication for sure. Great people on entire ship.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship design, no complaints. Restrooms on ship always clean with a few paper towel bin full but no odors.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Here I have to mention, my stateroom had a terrible odor that could not be eliminated. Steward tried hard to get the stench out but it must have been in the cloth sofa and carpet. They did not even offer me to change rooms. Got a bottle of wine...

Ship tip

My cruise was for 10 days and I could not experience everything on board. So many to choose from. Have fun.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Clean, easy to get around.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

4 out of 5
Great tourist destination. A little overpriced in some areas.

Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

3 out of 5
Great tourist destination. Could not find anyone to recommend a good authentic Caribbean food restaurant. I kept getting steered to tourist restaurants. I was looking for the good 'old mama's type restaurant that made authentic Caribbean foods.

St. John's, Antigua

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Got to visit the beach and airport known for approaching planes. Tasted rhum at a distillery. We had great weather.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy exiting and transitioning to our ground transportation. TIP: If you are heading directly to the airport, use the ships transfer of bags system. Depending on your flight's departure, my bags made it there without me logging them around because we had 9 hours to kill before our flight left FLL.
