Loved the time at sea. We will do more transitioning cruises. I need to thank my United Cruise Planner, Jeremy (I call him Batman, he's superman) and the staff on the ship - they were fantastic!
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Embarkation was fairly fast. We were routed to the wrong area which took extra time but this was one of the quickest for the size of ship. I was very impressed :)
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We did not eat at any of the specialty dining restaurants (that I can remember). The food at the buffet and main dining room was delicious. The staff was very accommodating and we always looked forward to eating!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
only onboard activity I can remember doing is gambling and we loved doing that!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We enjoyed all the evening shows. We usually do not go to the shows on cruises, but we did on this one and thoroughly enjoyed them! All of them were entertaining - all of them :)
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
our cabin attendant and wait staff in the main dining were fantastic! we would want for nothing, if that makes sense. If we needed anything, it was provided. I must say, I'm more impressed with Royal Caribbean with this cruise!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship is a little older but and could use some updating in some areas, like OUTLETS near the bed, etc. The common areas were very clean, again very impressive.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We booked late, we like to have a little larger cabin but we enjoyed our cabin, it was clean & comfortable. It did lack outlets, thankfully we brought extension cords. The cabin also lacked storage for our luggage as we had 3 suitcases + 2 carry-ons (our vacation was a month long from cold to hot). There was no storage under the bed so the cabin was a little cramped.
We absolutely loved our cabin attendant and those along our hallway! All were very pleasant and accommodating.
Ship tip
Our cabin was on the 9th deck. We are getting up there in age, love to take the stairs and being on the 9th deck, we were able to take the stairs for most venues.
We toured St Lucia and then visited a small coconut oil business and chocolate factory. Yummy. Again, a good way to see the island and figure out if you want to go back and stay and where to stay :)
Blue Curacao!! What more can I say? This is a beautiful island (aren't they all?) We again took a tour of the island, and of course the liquor factory :)
I think we liked Aruba the most. There seemed to be less crime areas (less bars on windows and barbed wire on top of walls) than the other islands. We visited the aloe plant, very interesting and of course the gift shop has so many interesting ways aloe can be used.
Loved it! Spent 3 days here, took an everglades tour, what fun! Then met some friends that flew in from Houston and our trip continued to Key West and onward.......
Oh...... this was the easiest of disembarkation's for this size of ship we have experienced! Will we choose Royal Caribbean again for their embarkation and disembarkation? YOU BET! Those are the 2 hassles not to take a cruise, this time, easy breezy!!!!!!
