Review summary

The embarking process was quite nice. But went down from there.  Problems with stateroom attendant for the first couple of days. They were in training when we arrived for some reason. Staff in the main dining room seemed confused about who was to do what. That got a little better thru the week. Smoking in the Casino and by the running track was unpleasant and unhealthy. There was nothing special about getting a jr. suite except the extra square footage.  Just the opposite of our cruise on Celebrity.  After that cruise we wanted to cruise again.  After this one with RC, we may never cruise again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Much of the food in the main dining room tasted the same, particularly the beef.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Too much screaming into the microphone when an activity was int he Centrum. Very unnecessary.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Took us 2 hours to get a small bucket of ice. People were in trining when we embarked. Had to ask for the bathrobes. Main dining room service sloppy in the beginning. Got a little better thru the week. Luiz, from the main dining room, was the main service stand out, person who really tried. Staff at times didn't seem to know their duties.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Not enough women's restroom stalls. Hopefully, on the new ships they will rectify this. Not enough elevators. Surprised by the shabbiness of the furniture in the jr. suite.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Extra room is nice, but nothing special about the furniture or service or bath products. Just the opposite of Celebrity's mini suite treatment for us.
