Review summary
There was a flood on the ship prior to our cruise, it took out the power in the front end of the ship. 299 cabins were effected so approximately half of the passengers were unable to go on the cruise. Check in was a nightmare! That being said I know everyone was trying hard to make things right. The Ship was beautiful, the entertainment excellent and the food was great. On the down side this was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean and it didn't live up to our expectations. Perhaps due to the extenuating circumstances, our cabin wasn't as clean as we would have liked. Service was incredibly slow in the dining room. But the saddest part of the whole thing was we ended our trip without a single connection to a staff member. Usually on cruises we fall in love with our cabin porter and dining room waiters. Not one of staff even knew our names. I expected more for Royal Caribbean.
