Review summary

We have been on multiple Seabourn cruises so may have been harsh in this assessment as compared to our experiences on Encore & Ovation, but the service, attention, & food were less than satisfactory. This was picked for the interesting itinerary & past Seabourn experiences. Much of the itinerary was good but ports of call were variable and assistance at the docks non existent.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was not as good as on past Seabourn cruises with main restaurant experience mediocre. Quite frankly some of the menu options were not appealing. Service was not as attentive. The exception was Earth & Ocean which was exceptional!!

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Not very good onboard options. Quite boring actually.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Overall good entertainment with excellent guests. The ship shows were mostly repeats of what we had seen previously on Seabourn.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The room stewards were exceptional. Other than those very hard working ladies, the rest of the service was less than attentive & really needs retraining overall.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Cleanliness was great. The ship needs an overhaul. And what designer picks mustard colored chairs & tones for the suites? Absolutely ugly.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
See above about interior design. Otherwise the bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The sofa seating was hard as a rock. Air conditioning was not working at first but maintenance did respond.
