Bay of Biscay twice both times rough,took the shine off a lovely cruise.The Canary islands and Madeira were wonderful we just wished there was a port on the return journey,3 days at sea with the sea state as it was was too much.

Embarkation was brilliant,no need for priority boarding,arrived 30 minutes before embarkation time,checked in Sent through security and on the ship in 20 minutes .absolutely brilliant.

We used horizon court for breakfast,a!ways a great choice of food,always seating available.We had 1specialty night in sterling steakhouse,it was very good but not worth the extra 29$.All our other evening meals we used Pacific moon,food and choice was excellent,service not as good as our previous cruise on sapphire.

Stage shows seemed as if the cast were rushing,not up to the standards we expected,resident band xtesea were very good,but disappointed with the general entertainment,it was said by several guests "Pontins at sea",which summed it up quite well.

If rough seas are expected take extra sea sick remedies,the sapphires stabilizers are not the best.
Did a princess exursion,the best of Madeira ,coach up to a spectacular viewing point then to a basket weaving outlet which was expensive,we then went up to the mountains through the clouds,fantastic scenery ,but I would hate to have to drive here.We then went for a three course lunch with port on arrival then red and white wine followed by brandy.local entertainment was also laid on which was dancers and musicians - they were absolutely brilliant.We then went to the tabogan,fantastic.2km of downhill in a wicker basket guided by 2 strapping men.On our way back to the ship we stopped at a winery for tasting.Overall a great excursion well worth the money.
