Second time on the Sapphire, ten years apart :) still love her.
We were a multi-generational group. 2 x OAPS, 1x 35 and 1 x 42 year olds, 2 X teenagers and 1 x four year old and there was plenty to do for everyone on board. We all thoroughly enjoyed.
She is a lovely ship, staff were fab and the food was beautiful.
Cabin steward made my holiday travelling with three kids. Even refolded our pyjamas etc. I was so grateful for everything he did.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
There was a problem with the walkway at Southampton port. We were sat in departures for an hour. Alot of people moaned but we were kept well informed by staff. Better to be safe and delayed than someone have an accident.
Check in itself was smooth and plenty of staff at drop off point collecting your luggage.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
My husband and I are not huge drinkers but enjoy the cocktails. We actually tried them all which is very unlike us. They were all very tasty and refreshing.
Food was outstanding as always from princess. We didn't eat at the specialty restaurants on this trip but did use the buffet, pool side eateries, main dining rooms and room service. Good selection in the buffet. Main dining room had something for everyone including a children's menu. All food was fresh and of a good standard. We didn't have any complaints and this was my third princess cruise.
Onboard Activities

The pool areas were always clean and well attended, love movies under the stars. Gym has a great selection. Didn't use the spa this time but did have a peak and looked lovely, clean and inviting.
Don't forget the little putting lawn which is fun and the panoramic view from on top of the bridge.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows are good. I do find the bars are lacking entertainment for people in their 30s and 40s. Couldn't find any music to suit us, unless we weren't looking in the right place??
Children's Programs

Outstanding!! Travelled with a 4 year old and two teenagers. We didn't plan to leave them at the club's but couldn't get them out of there!! I was apprehensive about taking children on a princess cruise due to other reviews saying "princess isn't for children". Don't be put off, my teenagers made 20+ friends on the first night and we hardly saw them after that and my five year old loved the itinerary in her aged area too. Princess is amazing for kids of all ages :)
We caught a bus to Loro parque zoo from the bus station, was 45 mins on bus but saw lots of the island and had a great day out. When you get off bus, taxi straight to Loro parque.
Stunning. Catch the cable car up and toboggan down. So much fun.
Don't walk back to the ship from bottom if toboggan run, get a taxi. We made this mistake, it's miles!!
Footy fans: Ronaldo CR7 museum is an easy walk from ship
