Review summary

Great cruise to SE Asia. Staff and food were great. Everything was well organised but be aware of costs. They soon mount if you are not careful. Watch out for the tours!

Embarkation

2 out of 5
The process was slow with many passengers having to wait over 90 minutes to check-in as priority was given to Elite passengers. This we understood but there must be a fairer way of checking in. It was Singapore so very hot and to keep people standing for over 90 minutes was not good. The check-in desks were barely wider than my shoulders and therefore you can imagine the struggle to get heard.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent. All the dining rooms were good. Sabatinis Italian was superb. The food and service second to none.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The normal onboard activities which we did not really take an interest in. We did the odd quiz which was good.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The Princess entertainment was great but some of the guest entertainers were below par. A guy blowing bubbles as a main show was poop with many walking out. Two comedy Spaniards playing guitar was also poor with one of the men getting a little close to the 'sexual' mark! There were also Tribute acts which were fantastic.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Only a 4 star due to a Maitre D' being rude. All other staff were excellent!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
No problems at all.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great cabin just after of the bridge. The new mattress was superb. Slept like logs!

Ship tip

Please watch the organised shore excursions. Many were overpriced and over rated. There were a number of complaints laid to the desk.

Ports of call

Singapore

5 out of 5
Embarked here. No excursions taken but rate Singapore very highly.

Ko Samui, Thailand

4 out of 5
No excursions taken. Did our own thing. Great little place to walk around

Laem Chabang (Bangkok), Thailand

3 out of 5
Organised excursion to Bangkok. 2.5 hour coach trip each way was not good with a guide who did not tell us much about Thailand. Bangkok was very interesting.

Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam

5 out of 5
Loved this place. Excursion to all the war things which is a must.

Hong Kong

4 out of 5
Loved HK but the excursions were overpriced and poor. We did back to back tours at a total of USD$600! Definitely not worth the money. Complaints have been placed with Princess.

Keelung (Taipei), Taiwan

3 out of 5
Delayed arrival and therefore reduced time ashore. Not enough time to fully explore.

Busan (Pusan), South Korea

5 out of 5
Loved this place. Excursion to the UN Cemetery. Very humbling experience. A must do!

Nagasaki, Japan

5 out of 5
This was the highlight of the trip! Excursion to the main war sights. Very informative and humbling. Another must do!

Shanghai, China

5 out of 5
