Review summary

Had a good trip with my family. Would love to visit a Cartagena and Costa Rica again because the places were so interesting. We were treated great on the ship and would love to have our dinner staff again. Don’t think I would sail the Ruby again, Would stick to newer air larger ships.

Embarkation

Easy, fast.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining hall was great. Lido deck was weak. We had the drink package. The ordering from the app was hit and miss. They wait staff had a hard time finding us at times. The medallion wasn’t very accurate with our location. Our dinner servers were fantastic.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Plenty of activities. A lot of the activities we wanted to do were hard to get to because they were back to back and not enough spots or seats.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Thought the shows were weak. Comedian Troy Thirdgill in the theater was great and the magician was good. Also enjoyed listening to musician Danilo Sumam, he was excellent.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Everyone was fantastic. Guest services reached out to us everyday to check on our A/C issue. Never got a resolution until 2 days left in trip.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Once we got the layout down it was easy to move around. Dinning Room was warm.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Had an issue with the a/c in our room and even though the staff called everyday to check on us, no attempts were made to fix or move us. The cruise was not full. Really couldn’t use the balcony because the room got so warm because the A/C was poor. Getting dressed for formal nights was tough because of how warm the room was.
