Review summary

All in all, the cruise was good especially given the cost. I had a relaxing 5 days and enjoyed the sail.

Seemed to be a bit unorganized as it was at a different terminal than the normal embarkation. Weather also an issue.

Breakfast in dining room was good but dinners were a bit slow and the food was decent but not special.

Onboard Activities

Terrace (adult only) Pool not open so had to deal with all the kids at the other pools. Also a number of Hot Tubs not open.

Entertainment

The one show I saw was pretty good. It was a singer/songwriter. Did not see a production show and, if there was one, it was not well promoted

Again, service was ok but it seemed like the crew was a bit "over it"! Perhaps they are understaffed and over worked. Quite a different feel than what I experience on the Majestic Princess just 2 months aga.

Ship Quality

Obviously the Ruby is an older ship and there were certainly signs of that fact. A few cracks noticeable on the Pool Lido) Deck, brightwork needs attention in several areas and rust stains visible in several area. The cabin itself was fine.

Cabin was pretty good...clean and comfortable.
