Would love to take this cruise again. If so, I would want to spend more tome in towns.
Embarkation

The whole thing took about 15 minutes from the front door to boarding the ship. Awesome!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Overall the meals were very good. There should be no reason for anyone to go hungry on this ship.
Crown Grill
5 out of 5
Wonderful meal! Our party had gone salmon fishing in Ketchikan that day and the Crown Grill prepared it for us that evening. It was delicious and presented to us beautifully.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Liked the pop up shops. We didn’t do a lot of on board activities but rather relaxed in various locations, people watched, and enjoyed each other’s company.
Lotus Spa

Had mani/pedi. Enjoyed visiting with manicurist very much. Also had acupuncture treatments for back pain. The doctor was very good and caring.

Princess Theater

We saw one of the stage shows that was fun. Wished it was a little longer. Nice theater with comfortable seating.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We can’t begin to tell you about each staff member we enjoyed. Our steward was Rolondo. Such a sweet accommodating man. He knew us by name by the second day and even picked up on our nap time routine. Everyone was pleasant to be around and talk with.

Ship tip
Spend the money on a balcony for this cruise. Loved every minute.
We took the White Pass Train thru the ship. Rode a bus up to Fraser, Canada then rode the train back down to Skagway. Fantastic views. Narrative on train was entertaining and educational. Bus then took us to a place where we had nice dinner and learned about gold panning. Don’t expect to get rich but everyone will get some gold.
We did “The Best of Juneau” thru the ship. The tour boat took us to Orca Point Resort for a great lunch then whale watching. The crew did a wonderful job telling us what to look for. We saw so many whales, even a mother and calf. It was thrilling. After that our bus took us to Mendenhall glacier. In addition to the glacier we saw porcupines, salmon, and bears. Wow!
We had selected the latest time available to disembark of 9:30 as our flight wasn’t until 2pm. We also elected to have our luggage taken off the ship. This allowed us to enjoy breakfast without being in a rush or dragging our luggage around. Our displeasure was after we left the ship to retrieve our luggage. The bright yellow cloth strips we had double knotted to our luggage handles (for quickly finding) were missing and one case had been ripped.
We used a porter to manage the luggage and passed thru customs without issue. We had prearranged our ride and had set up a meeting place. Once there, we were pressured by other drivers. We mistakenly got in a car other than our arranged car and ended being charged a $40 cancellation fee.
