Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Always happy with the food! We mostly ate at Michaelangelo's, which was fantastic. Had buffet for breakfasts, and a few times for lunch. LOVE to snack at International Café! Celebrated one night with a special dinner at Crown Grille and it was phenominal!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Love all the games! Took this cruise last year and it seemed that trip offered more games, but weak prizes (like a pen!) ... this cruise seemed to have less games but better prizes (especially the bottle of champagne!!). We enjoyed bingo, trivia, yes/no, the food demo by the chefs, egg drop, karaoke, and the males vs. females. Wish there were more interactive games like the scavenger hunt type games / team games.

Entertainment

Every time we went to enjoy the band there wasn't very many people dancing... sorta low energy.

Service and Staff

In Michaelangelo's we had an AMAZING server and his name is Ariel Mercado. He went above and beyond to give us great service. He was personable, and personal. We enjoyed hearing stories about his family and his culture. But the best part was, before we even got to know him, on our anniversary, he was so sweet!!!!! He serenaded my husband & I with the most beautiful song (I wish I knew the name of it!), all by himself, in front of our table of 8, and he sang the entire song, beautifully... and the words were so kind, and him singing to us was so special. We truly loved it.

Ship Quality

Since last year, we've noticed there were quite a few upgrades to the ship - Our room had new carpet, along with many of the halls. The flat screen tvs are much better than the old tvs, and I see they are preparing for the Medallion. Overall I believe the ship is clean and well-cared for. Our room attendant did a perfect job keeping our room clean and he was always very efficient.

Cabin / Stateroom

The beds and pillows are super comfortable. The room was always clean. We LOVE having a balcony. The only thing that is a little uncomfortable is the bunk bed that drops from the ceiling.... makes me feel like I'm in a cave sleeping below it, and also when the bunk is down, nobody can see the tv from any of the beds. Might be time for us to upgrade to a mini-suite. Love being on the 14th floor, mid-ship. Perfect room location!

Ship tip

There's always plenty to do!!!!!! For me, a week isn't long enough!

It's the worst part of the cruise and I wish it wasn't so early in the morning.
