Review summary

This was a nearly perfect except for guest "comedian" Mark Eddie, who was terrible! Two nights of entertainment were lost to his insulting, vulgar attempts at humor. The first night we were in the center of our row in the large theater and didn't want to make a scene climbing over everybody to walk out, so we just sat there and went through email, etc. waiting for the "show" to be over. The second night we went by the lounge to see if his second show was different, as advertised, but quickly saw it was just more of the same, so we quickly left. We are so upset at Princess' choice of this entertainment that our future cruises will be with another cruise line. Other than that, the rest of the ship's entertainment and all other aspects of the cruise were great. If there was a way too see who the entertainment will be in advance so as to avoid undesirable cruises, we would consider Princess again. Short of that, we will go with other cruise lines that we have had no such issues with before.

I've sailed Princess several times and it's my favorite cruise line. I think their entertainment isn't so good. Doesn't stop me from sailing on them.

Choosing another cruise line because of a comedian you’ll probably never see again is perplexing. We’ve gone on a lot of cruises sure we’ve seen the same stage show multiple times but never the same comedian.

There’s usually a disclamer in the Princess Patter indicating if a show is unsuitable for children. If your sense of humor falls in this category, maybe try one of the other venues. I’m just confused though, why did you go to a second show? Most comedians whose routines are off color usually don’t change their style. Hope you don’t write off the cruise line based on this; there’s lots to love about Princess and there are alternative show choices.

“Nearly perfect cruise.....The rest of the ship’s entertainment and all other aspects of the cruise were great”, I’m confused how you would give a cruise this compliment and 5 stars, then say your choosing another cruise line based a choice you made to stay and then go see him again.

Yes. I agree. Give cruise line another chance. There’s more Princess has to offer than one nasty comedian.

You did file a complaint with Customer Service, didn't you? This is the only way to let Princess know you were offended. The daily entertainment is usually stated in the Princess Patter, and the entertainer identified. Now that you know who you don't like, you can avoid them. Seems a shame to dump one cruise line because of the actions of one person.

A little harsh. . Naughty people enjoyed his humor

Have been on 5 different cruise lines and at least 2 have adult only comedy. I think this is a great alternative as young people could be in the audience.
