Review summary

I enjoyed my cruise because of the ports other than that I was not impressed . I paid for a private balcony breakfast and room service lost my ticket so I never got it or a refund . I got blisters from the spa and they did nothing about it . There was no night life ! Food was decent just not enough variety and lots of people were complaining about lost bags or items . The front desk was also not to accommodating or nice .

Embarkation

Me and my group were late arriving and the staff got us registered and on the ship quickly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The dining room and speciality Restrauant’s were very nice . It was nice to get dressed for dinner and be waited on every night , the staff was wonderful . Just wish they had more of a selection it was almost same thing every night

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We spent a lot of time in the pool and jacuzzi . We watched movies under the stars but some nights it was too cold they should have an indoor theater for when it gets too cold to be outside . I spent some time at the spa which was decent And I enjoyed the gym

Entertainment

3 out of 5
There was not enough night life for me - this cruise was definitely for those that just want to sleep or do nothing at all

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was all exceptional very friendly

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The cabin was small it was the size of an ocean view or inside cabin . The only difference was the balcony . The room was clean and the bed was comfortable , I am just disappointed that I paid as much as I did and my kids inside cabin was the same size and it didn’t have a seating area / just a chair in front of a vanity and the blow dryer didn’t work

Ship tip

only take this cruise if your looking to relax and do nothing !

This was a fun port , we took a tour of the city , did some shopping and tequila tasting then went to the forest and zip lined . Afterwards we had lunch and then headed back to the ship it was a great day ! Ms. Motta our tour guide did not disappoint she was great !

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
Had a great time here , took a tour of the city then stopped for lunch and spent some time on the beach before heading back to the ship .

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Took a glass bottom boat tour then had lunch at the office located right on the beach it was a beautiful day just didn’t have much time at this port and one of the boat tour guides stole from us .

Disembarkation

It was pretty easy and fast once we were allowed off . Our time was delayed almost two hours for some reason .

@johi77 I’ve cruised many cruise lines and I always enjoy myself ! To me the lack of customer service was an issue , I don’t know about you but when I pay good money I want my money’s worth that includes the customer service ! I didn’t say I didn’t enjoy myself because I did , the Ruby just lacks adult entertainment , it’s geared more for families . I actually cruise with Dave Koz jazz cruises every year I did the Ruby specifically for the ports .

You may enjoy the new mega ships, they have a ton of things going on for entertainment. Like being in a big city! We always found things to do on princess but everyone is different. You’d have to book a deluxe balcony or suite to get more riom

I've been on the Ruby her second sailing in U.S. not putting down ship. Love every ship we've been on heck your on a cruise. One thing everyone should look up as much as you can about your ship, and wear your going.

Bummer you didn’t enjoy it! Big disappointment about the balcony breakfast. Truly surprised they didn’t refund you. Research more before your next cruise. Specifically starting with what cruise line may suit you and the family more. I personally enjoy the quiet of Princess versus Carnival or RC.

Wowzers chazphin. I don’t think that was necessary. I love the Ruby Princess and am going on her again this Saturday. So far my favorite ship.
