The workers onboard is what sticks in my mind. I think the staff on the Ruby Princess is outstanding. Didn’t have one worker that had the “wish I wasn’t here” type attitude. Upbeat people who worked hard to make this a great trip.

Fast! I love San Pedro Cruise Terminal. Very efficient check in staff.

Service was excellent in the Da Vinci MDR and Crown Grill. There is one server in Da Vinci named Helena from Serbia that deserves special mention. Great upbeat attitude, very friendly, and great worker. Crown Grill was wonderful as usual. The buffet is the buffet. It’s fine, nothing bad.
Onboard Activities

I slept, ate, read, and slept some more. It’s all I expected to do on this trip and I think I did a great job. My back was sore and stiff before the cruise, it’s fine now. I’m sure some might think, “You could do that at home”. I don’t think so. Being at sea with the beautiful scenery and having just about everything done for you really adds to getting complete rest and relaxation.

So far this ship and the Grand have had the best staff. Meaning not only doing a great job but having a great friendly attitude too. My room steward Cyrus was an outstanding worker and friendly.

Ship is in great shape.

I booked an ocean view and it was fine. Clean comfortable bed. Princess shower stalls aren’t so great, on the small side. But it wasn’t a deal breaker. I mention it so others will know.
Ship tip
A FYI, I bought the unlimited soda package. Milkshakes are no longer included it seems. Earlier this year I was on the Grand and the Island and milkshakes were included. This time it wasn’t.
I like the semi-submersible tours to see the fish. This time I went on the yellow one (Nautilus) instead of the red one. Price is higher and you see the same thing. Next time back to the red one. I walked to the casino to see if I could go in but you have to purchase tickets. The piece of advice I have for Catalina is do excursions on your own and save money. The tender dock is close to everything.
Fast! Princess has a good efficient system for kicking people off...I mean disembarking people. Once off, Customs and Immigration process is different. Just before the exit out the terminal one of the agents takes your passport, looks at it carefully, then says have a nice day. No questions asked and no forms to fill out. I’m guessing they already have a list of people they want to question and if your name isn’t on the list your free to go.
Had a server Helena at dinner in Boticelli, she was excellent, saw her in Da Vinci at other times, breakfast, Tea. Probably same girl, she was quite funny.
Looks like this will be a good ship to sail next September! Hint. Thanks for the review, I was a bit concerned about the shower size, guess I'll survive, ;)
