Fabulous family cruise

Sail Date: October 24, 2010

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Suite

The ship is beautiful - I have been on the Emerald and the Crown so it was very easy to find things on this ship. The decor in the atrium was beautiful.

Pros: This was the first time my son and daughter-in-law had cruised. It was wonderful to share the enjoyment of cruising with them. We also loved the itinerary of this cruise.

Cons: Being in St. Thomas when 3 other cruise ships were also in port.

Recommends Ruby Princess? Yes!

Ship Quality
After seeing some of the bigger ships, it was nice to have the size ship as the Ruby.

Grand Turk Island
Very beautiful - our favorite port. Loved that you could spend time at the beach or swim in the pool.
Don't Miss: Going snorkeling.
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
We have been as this port twice before and it had always rained. This time the weather was perfect. We rented snorkeling equipment and enjoyed seeing all the marine life.
Don't Miss: Renting the snorkeling equipment.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Don't Miss: Going to the Orient beach.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Don't Miss: Taking the ferry over to St. John's - very beautiful island - great national park.
