Review summary

The standards seem to have fallen way way down, and that’s extremely depressing to see. I truly hope princess see’s these comments and does what they can to get the standards back to world class. I’ve never thought about sailing with another cruise line, but now I am.

Embarkation

Getting onto the ship was quick and easy but there was some confusion where to stand in line to get porters your luggage.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The food in the main dining was extremely slow. Dinners took 2.5 hours every night and food sometimes arrived barely warm. The food for the most part was very under seasoned. Crown grill was good, service was mediocre. We waited at one point for 20 minutes before any server came to check on us. Buffet was decent all around. Room service was just terrible. Food was terrible, desserts were terrible, and my order was wrong multiple times. Twice I didn’t get my order at all and had to reorder.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
My son wasn’t allowed in the pool in a swim diaper but 90 year olds in depend diapers are allowed in the pool. That makes no sense. The service at the bars on the top decks was very slow at times.

Entertainment

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My 4 year old loved the kids club and it was a great time for her. The staff was great with communicating how it worked.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Service in the main dinning was mediocre. Sometimes we had to ask for water to be refilled, and just seemed they were at attentive on the little things as they were on previous cruises before covid. Our room steward was nice and always had our room made up. There weren’t very many servers on the pool deck and it was hard to get drinks or food unless I went to the bar or grill and did it myself.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was beautiful. Everything was always very clean. Only thing I noticed was some food and trash in the couches or sitting areas at times. Bathrooms were always very clean and attended too, and that was very nice to see.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Bed was very comfortable and the room was plenty big. Our phone didn’t work the entire cruise and sometimes the TV wouldn’t work so we had to unplug it to get it to work.

Ship tip

Don’t expect the standards Princess use to have.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Getting off the ship was extremely quick and easy. Luggage was ready for when we were off the ship. Only probably was there was zero organization outside for people being picked up. This caused very long queues for cars and it was very inefficient. Princess needs to have people out there helping push cars along or communicate with the port to have people help keep cars moving like they do at airports.
