Met expectations of a Princess standard, exceeded some. This ship, while wonderful was too big for me with a convoluted layout. But despite that the folks on board we extremely wonderful.

The embarkation went very well, the staff was well informed and the many associates around the dock we very knowledeable about the whole process.

To be fair, we did not hit the specialty places. A seven day cruise with two formals will use up all the regular dining rooms. The food was passable, Variety was not as expansive as previous smaller ships. I understand the issues about feeding many. I met with the food and beverage director on a couple of occasions and did tour the kitchens. You cannot have that many people doing the work and expect a super high standard.

Dined there three times, food was passable for the type of food being offered. Service was great.

Much like the other room, On this ship the menu is the same for all the dining rooms. Little variety.
Onboard Activities

Did not hit a lot of them this trip. What I did view was well managed and looked like fun. My sister and her friend had a good laugh watching the sexy mens legs show.

Always working to clean and maintain this ship. I took this cruise to see the big ship. I kinda miss the full Promenade deck. I am not overly impress with the flow of the whole public areas. But that's only my view.
Cabin / Stateroom

For an inside cabin it was great, I forgot to take a picture, but it was roomy enough for the two of us with a single bed and my sister and her friend had two beds, and a lot of room

Great review! Unbiased and straightforward. We'll be on the Royal in June for the first time. We have been on the Regal, and they are almost identical. I agree; we like the smaller ships also.
