Review summary

We spent most our time walking around trying to find something interesting to do. Always ended up in our room or on the smoking deck hanging out.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Activities were focused toward the older groups of people onboard. Would have liked more music and activities for Middle Ages and younger ages.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Entertainment was focused toward old people. Not great for younger couples looking to dance and have fun.

Service and Staff

Always great. They work so hard and are always happy to help.

Ship tip

Not for young couples or Middle Ages couples. We are 40 and felt the activities were not made for people our age. Neither was entertainment.

Princess does appeal to the older and or more wanting to relax crowd. But there is always music and dancing to a variety of music genres. Sorry you had a less that wonderful time. I, personally, cruise Princess because I don't want the mall/amusement park feel on a ship. Maybe if others would stop demanding that Princess is a great choice for families and action, those like you who want that wouldn't be disappointed because the ship's atmosphere wasn't what you had expected. I totally get the hanging out on the smoking deck. I don't smoke either (my husband does) but I've met the most wonderful people in the smoking areas. Maybe it's because they deal day to day with the unnecessary stigma of their life choice, and aren't as judgmental? IDK.

Did you ever find the Skywalker Club? It has dancing at night that draws the "young and young at heart" group.

Yes princess is geared for an older group - being in our late 50’s, we have found Princess was for us. Don’t give up on cruising just try another ship. It does sound like Carnival would be the one for you ( it’s the fun ship ) .

We are in our early 40’s and love Princess due to the chill atmosphere. We play trivia, go to the game shows, see some of the musicals, catch a movie, hit up the casino a little, people watch in the Piazza or line dancing or Karaoke and just hang around. I think RCL or Carnival may be more your style.

Maybe you should cruise Carnival

I actually don’t smoke. So that wasn’t why I hung out there. And we are 40. Walked around for days with nothing to do. I didn’t want to buy diamonds. I didn’t want to dance to 50s and 60s music and sit around while orchestras played. The mariachi was fun. And line dancing. But other than that. Nada.

What age group are you in? There’s a huge variety of things for people of different ages interest to do but you got to get out of smoking area to find them

We are in our 40s and danced the night away and there were some young 30s and 20s in there dancing they did an hour of 80s then dj played anything he liked and took requests...for most songs there was a variety out on the floor of club 6... music went back and forth in genres and each group danced even if it wasn't their genre...it was a blast we were on same sailing
