Review summary

This was a 60th wedding Anniversary for my parents. They 78 and 80. My sister and her husband, my husband and myself, and my parents, were on the cruise. We were very disappointed that we could not go to the original ports, but it could not be helped. However, things should have been put into place onto the ship to better accomadate the changes. Such as; the selling of cooler clothes since we were going to be going to warmer ports. These items were nowhere to be found until after we had gotten back from Portugal. Also, the air conditioning situation seemed to be all over the ship. That really needed to be fixed. We had issues, told our porter and told maintenance, and never heard back about it. A response would have been nice. We had an issue with a passenger. My sister told someone about it, and was promised that soemthing would be done about it. It never was. The guy almost choked my sister. We kept seeing him on the ship and he and his wife would stare at us. He tried to choke her, told us both to "go to hell", numerous times. (simply because he did not like me taking pictures on our canal cruise in Amsterdam) We have all cruised numerous times on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian, and this was the first time anything like this has ever happened. This was our first time on Princess, and it will be our last. Thank you, Mrs. A. Herman

My elderly parents were told to go to another line that was supposed to be faster with the paperwork, and it wound up taking them longer and required them to stand in one area for over 40 minutes. Very unprofessional.

This was my first time sailing on Princess and I was expecting the food to be better than the other 3 ships that I have previously sailed on. Sadly mistaken. The main dining room's food was lacking in originality and flavor. Very dissapointed. Sabatinis was alright, but nothing spectacular.

One of the shows that we went to, Colors of the World, was very off colour. It made my family uncomfortable watching it. We enjoyed watching the dancing contest with the staff, but thought that the comments about sexuality about one of the staff members was inappropriate.

Our servers, Charles and Alex, in the Concerto Dining room, were fantastic. They were over worked, but they always made sure that they served their many guests. They would have as many as 20-25 guests at a time, while other servers only had 6.

The main problem that we had with our cabin was the air not working. We told our steward about it and even called maintenance about it. We were never informed that anything had been done regarding the temperature. It was very warm. The whole time.

Loved the port, but the guide did not try to walk slowly for the many number of handicapped individuals that were present for his group. He also talked about those who could not keep up. Very unprofessional.

This guide was fantastic. Would have been nice if we had been informed before we returned to the ship that we were lot going to be going to Norway and Ireland so that we could have purchased some cooler clothes for the hotter ports thar we were going to have to go to.

Nowhere in her comments did it say he laid his hands on her. You would have a very hard time taking someone off a ship for looking at people or bad comments. If you read the rest of the comments he sound as though they were easily offended people. With that being said I’m sorry they had a disappointing time

I agree on the off color shows, but that apparently is what most people are wanting these days. Just me. BUT, there are a lot of other entertainment venues that are great and should have given a few more stars, even one or two of the other shows.

Sorry for your bad experience. No excuse for this passengers behavior. I am truly surprised he was not only taken off the ship, but arrested for assault. We have cruised Princess 7 times and assure you, this is not typical of Princess Cruises. I would suggest you write to Princess and file a complaint. DON'T BE NICE ABOUT IT EITHER! After that horrible experience, you certainly are due some sort of compensation. Again, this is not typical for Princess not to address any passengers concerns expeditiously.
