Overall the cruise went smoothly and was very enjoyable.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food was excellent in the main dining room although I do feel that the variety has decreased over the years. Our meal in Sabatini’s was outstanding in every way. The buffet was usually where we ate breakfast and everything was quite good. Again the variety is less than years before. The international cafe was great for a quick breakfast and also for a snack anytime. I’ve saved my favorite for last. Alfredo’s is the best in every way.
Onboard Activities

Entertainment
5 out of 5
We usually don’t go to the production shows as we’ve seen them all several times. This cruise had 2 shows we haven’t seen before and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The comics on the cruise were very funny. The band that played in the Piazza was excellent. In fact all of the entertainment was excellent.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The only thing about the service is that in anytime dining the wait staff varies in their ability to manage all of their tables. Some were much better than others. Overall I’d say the service was excellent.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ships layout makes getting around the ship very easy. Everywhere I looked in the common areas was very clean. There was always someone cleaning or polishing or painting. It seemed you couldn’t swing a dead cat without hitting a crew member cleaning.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Our cabin was clean and well maintained by our steward. For the first time our bed wasn’t all that comfortable. We have sailed on the Royal a number of times and this was a first. The other thing is that our cabin was too warm unless we set the a/c on full blast.
Ship tip
On embarkation day skip the buffet for lunch as it’s always very crowded. Go to Alfredo’s for a nice pizza and some sangria. It’s so much more relaxing.
This port was quite nice. Our ship bought excursion was good but too rushed. The tour guide told us that it used to be 3&1/2 hours and princess reduced it to 3 hours.
We stayed and went around Cobh ourselves it was a very enjoyable walk around the little town. We actually took a walking tour with a local we met after disembarking the ship.
We walked around Dublin ourselves. We researched it before the cruise and had plotted a nice stroll around the city. We also had an afternoon tea at the Waterbury hotel. Brilliant
We did the ships excursion that took us to the Titanic experience museum. Sad to say it was a little disappointing. We were going to stay in town and walk around on our own but again the weather didn’t cooperate.
We did a ships excursion on seeing The Falkirk Wheel which had broken down so this was a real disappointment. We then went to Stirling and had tome on our own. We went through the Castle and really enjoyed it. We walked around this quaint little town and had a nice lunch in a hotel bar.
