Review summary
We and our travel mates M/M Henry Lesburts made reservations to have dinner every night in the Symphony Restaurant, at 5:30PM seating same table same waiter, the table looked lovely flowers, the usual 4 rolls and four butter patties. On the 1st night we were served a very poor quality of beef with a gravy, it was tasteless, and honestly didn't even look like meat., and the waiter always asked how we wanted it cooked, it always looked the same. We all tried to make made the best of the situation figuring it was the first night. On the 2nd night the same thing happened the same cut of meat was served with a different sauce on top, and at one point we asked the waiter to take it back and get us another one, when he came back to the table with the new plate of food honestly there was no difference, it was dry and flaky and looked like a pot roast when questioned he said it wasn't.. We were even looking to possibly change our choice to Chicken but it wasn't on the menu. On the 3rd night nothing had changed, so we decided that we would take matters in our own hands, since the Head Waiter seemed to be unconcerned about our issue with the quality of food we were being served. After dinner that night we all went down to the desk and made an appointment with the Head Food Person, he called us back and we did meet with him prior to going into dinner that night at 5PM on the 4th night. He wanted to know what the issues we were having with the food, and we explained the best we could all about the poor quality of food we were being served. It looked as if one huge piece of beef was cooked on the first day we sailed or it was already put on board already cooked and we were being served that for 3 nights just with a different gravy or sauce. It finally came down to, we were basically eating more rolls then the dinners that were being served. It actually got funny because on that every night after we spoke to the Head Food Person we went to dinner that night, to find 2 baskets of rolls and 2 dishes of butter on our table . And we all looked at one another and started laugh and agreed that we had to suck it up and go with the flow before we let it ruins the rest of the cruise. We were totally disappointed in the food and the lack of concern from the Head Waiter. I can assure you that the tips left for our Food Server and Head Waiter were not by any means what we usually would leave.
To be honest I have been asked by a few people about the food, and my reply was, it was horrible the worst food I have ever eaten on a cruise.
We were on the same cruise a couple of years ago no complaints. we usually book a Mini Suite and our friends book a Full Suite We love the Sanctuary and book as soon as the doors open, we go to the Beauty Salon, Body Services and the Casino and enjoy having drinks prior to going to dinner at some of the different Bars. As matter of fact we also gave our cabin person Rich a very high recommendation for his great service..
We have been cruising since 1981 with different Cruise Lines but always come back to Princess but after this experience not really sure we will cruise with you again. You need to look into the food situation, I'm sure we are not the only passengers who complained.
I would appreciation hearing from you in response to our complaint.
Respectfully,
Peter and Dawn Verdone

Was there not anything else on the menu except beef? I probably would not have ordered the beef on the second or third day if it was so bad on the first day. I suggest that you mail or email your review to the main office. Obviously you didn't get satisfaction on the ship. Sorry to hear about your probl3em. Usually chefs fall all over diners with complaints. At least that happens on HAL.

Same with Princess Cruise Lines :)
Thank you for your review. I'm a bit unclear -- the food quality didn't change after you talked to the Chef?
