Review summary

We had an extremely enjoyable cruise on the Royal Princess through the Southern Caribbean.

SHIP: The ship has a very tasteful decor. Subtle, tasteful colors mixed with elegant accents throughout he ship. The atrium is beautifully appointed and is the central focus of the interior activities.

The entertainment was good and provided a wide variety of venues and formats in which we could participate.

The food was prepared extremely well. We enjoyed the anytime dining. The selection was varied and interesting.

PORTS OF CALL: This was our first trip to the Southern Caribbean. The islands all have their own flavor and heritage. We were surprised at the diversity. All our experiences were safe and interesting.

We booked a balcony, forward on Bahia deck. Although a bit tight, the stateroom was well appointed. The room steward was very attentive. We had a beautiful view. The room was quiet.

We took the catamaran snorkeling trip to the statues. The water was murky, the statues were in disrepair, the reef was decimated, and the trip was very disappointing. I would NOT suggest booking this excursion.
