Review summary

The beginning of the cruise was a little tense given that we were notified of an intestinal virus that had to be cleansed from our ship before departure, which was delayed by about 2 1/2 hours. Sanitary precautions were required at every station but the Captain kept us well apprised of the situation. The crew did an excellent job of sanitizing the cabins and dining areas and we settled into an acceptable routine. The food, entertainment, cabins, and overall amenities were excellent. We were not able to dock in Dublin due to bad weather, which was a disappointment. All other excursions were well organized and fun. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and commend the Captain and crew for making a tenable situation pleasant.

Very comfortable, excellent bed, and great view from the balcony.

Ship tip

Cash exchange machines were not efficient and high interest charges were applied if small denomination bills were used. Machines would only accept one bill at a time, although instructions implied you could feed more before the transaction began.

Norovirus seems to be standard on every cruise now

Sounds like you had a wonderful cruise.  It is always disappointing when you have to miss a port of call.  It happened to us three times.  I hope that someday you do get to visit Dublin.
