Cruise of Feb. 2015

Sail Date: February 17, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

My wife and I had a great time on the Royal Princess in Feb. of 2015.  We did not go into the first port of call, that being Princess Cay Island, because of rough weather, however enjoyed the other posts and the rest of the cruise.  This is the third time we have cruised on Princess and feel they do above average job in food, intertainment, and accomodations.  Our last cruise, in 2013,  was on the Celebrity Silhouette.  The balcony cabins were larger, we had more "perks" like more credits to spend on board, more credits to spend in ports, and felt even though the food was good on the Princess, the food was slightly better on the Celebrity Silhouette. We did like some of the nightly intertainment on he Princess better than the Celebrity, however both were very good..

Ship Quality
Being a newer ship, it was very good!
Food and Dining
Food was slightly above average but not great!
Cabin / Stateroom
Smaller than other balcony staterooms we have had on other lines
Service and Staff
Because of the size 3,500 passengers, some times had to wait in line to eat, etc.
Intertainment was very good. Above average in most ships
Children's Programs N/A
Onboard Activities
Most shows were full and had to get there early for a seat.
Destinations and Excursions
Because we did not get to one port, Princes Cays Island, I thought we should have had something other benifit.
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
Got on the ship here and did not do any excursions here.
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
Did not go to this island because of bad weather
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Favorite port with good food and good shopping.
Interesting port. enjoyed our time here,
St. George's, Grenada
The island seems very backward and not as receptive as other islands.
Bonaire, Netherlands Special Municipality
Enjoyed this post and the tour we took.
Oranjestad, Aruba
Lots to see here and great stores for shopping

Most of the deck lounge chairs were used and hard to find because of so many people on deck trying to get some sun.
