Review summary

Holland does tend to have more seniors and hardly any kids. If you want to go go go, best to do excursions. I cruise Holland due to my sister is a 4 star and invites me. I tend to be outgoing, so I easily make friends. We had a table of 6, and none of us moved. Staff is awesome!!

Embarkation

My sister is a 4 star, so we both get through and on quicker.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We decided we wanted the lobster several nights and paid the extra $$. Some may complain about choices, but when you don't get to cruise much, having someone else do it all for you, ranks high in my books! Thank you all Holland staff!!

Dive-In

If you get there before the crowd, your wait time is short. I ordered crispy French fries, which they did with smiles on their faces.

Canaletto Restaurant

3 out of 5

The night we went the service was real slow and only half of the room was full at 5pm. Disappointed in our meal choices compared to 2019 Eurodam.

Lido Market

Thanks to all of the staff! I didn't have to think about what to get at the store, go get it, prepare it, do the dishes afterwards. This girl truly appreciates you all.

Pinnacle Grill

Great choices, great food, great service.

Explorations Cafe

Large Carmel Latte and beautiful view each morning.

Onboard Activities

I'm 62, and like to play more (but without kids....lol)

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Dueling piano's and BB King were great. I had high hopes for the rock n roll, but I (62) and around bands, was not impressed with the current R&R band on board.

Casino Action

Entertained me here and there. Didn't learn until this cruise, when you charge to your room and then don't use it all on that machine. Pick the 2nd button next to room charge, to use you balance.

B.B. King's Blues Club

5 out of 5

I actually didn't care for the group on my 2019 cruise, but the group we had on this 2023 cruise were great!

Billboard Onboard

We ended up listening to these guys most nights. Entertaining and great voices.

Ship tip

Remember on any cruise, be kind to people and smile. You yourself can make or break your trip by letting little things ruin it. Learn for next time and move on.

Wished we could have found 10 others to book the Private Oasis pkg. We have done it before, and it the best way to go!

We pay extra for direct luggage and transportation from Holland. Makes the end of our cruises on a great note.
