Review summary

it was a new ship, with many new things we did not know about; the interior is a matter of taste; some like it, some not; for us, it was not really cozy, but some really liked it; what we never experienced was the food an drink arrangement, like we had a drink package, but never could figure out, what's included, what's not, like Perrier was included, Pelegrino was not; figure that out! Even the waiter didn't know; many restaurants are for extra pay; I will never understand, why people are eating there for additional money, if they can get the same food free, but they for sure would know; the theater was very nice, with all the LCD screens, but the performances were only average; the Blues club did not play Blues, which was disappointing, since I like Blues; there were parties all over the place, but only for people with a 4 star rating and higher; we, with 3 stars were lower class; fine with me;

Embarkation

1 out of 5
althogh we were told to bring a PCR test, nobody was interested in one; we had to wait in line for almost 4 hours for a rapid test; why sending emails for one week every day, not to forget the PCR test, when it was for the birds anyway??

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
there are many restaurants, but all of them, except the dining room and the Lido, cost extra money; why would somebody pay extra??

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
didn't do much; so we don't know

Entertainment

3 out of 5
entertainment was so-so, except one performance; everything else below average

Children's Programs

no kids

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
regular service, nothing to write home about

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
very modern, sometimes too sterile, but this is certainly a question of taste

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
if you could make the bathroom any smaller, you would do it, I guess; never had such a small bathroom; don't really know, how the many obese people handle that;

Ship tip

inform your self, what's included and what not; it's totally confusing; even the personnel didn't figure it out; if possible, get a suite; the bathrooms are tiny!!

Ports of call

Horta, Azores

2 out of 5
regular port city, nothing exciting

Ponta Delgada, Azores

2 out of 5
regular port city, nothing exciting

Cherbourg, France

4 out of 5
Cherbourg is not interesting, but we went to Bayeux, which is worth a trip;

Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

5 out of 5
Bruges is always a trip to enjoy, but too many tourists;

Amsterdam, Netherlands Did not visit port

went from there with the train to Germany

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
disembarkation was quick; good organized; I think, they wanted the passengers go a quick as possible;
