Review summary

This is our favorite cruise line thus far. The ship was beautiful and new. Precise attention to detail was noted except for internet access. Ours came with the package deal. Don't pay for it since it is practically non existent. The food was of excellent quality. The entertainment was fun, sometimes hokey, but still fun. The art work is unique. Take the time to explore the unusual theme throughout the ship. For example there is a painting of a burning ship in one of the lounges. In the foreground is a lifeboat with the ghost of a woman present. A bit discerning for a cruise ship!

Announcements for the most part are not heard in the rooms, consequently we missed some important news.

All in all, this is a great cruise ship.  Go for it.

Wish I could remember more names. Everyone was gracious and kind and helpful. I loved "On" from Cambodia. Very sweet and sincere. Freddy, our cabin steward did a great job keeping our cabin neat and clean.

Spacious and clean. Very nice size bathroom with a separate tub and shower. Plenty of closet and drawer space.

Ship tip

Shows were a bit late 9:45 so plan your dinner accordingly.

If you want to take the cable car down to get back to the ship you must do it early before the crowds build. By 1pm the line was two hours long due to 5 cruise ships in port. This was in early Oct and. standing in the hot sun was grueling. The other option is to walk down the same path used by the donkeys (.which you can negotiate to ride). It is about a 15-20 min walk down widely spaced steps. Be prepared for some fancy footwork dodging donkey dung. Santorini is beautiful, but very touristy. The narrow steets are lined with tourist shops.

Katakolon (Olympia), Greece

Great ruins to explore. Our tour guide was very difficult to understand. We had to rely on reading the signs at the attractions.

Corfu, Greece

This was the only port where we did not take an organized excursion. We did a Hop on Hop off bus and explored at the various stops. We loved going through the neighborhood outdoor markets. Saw lots of fish mongers, butchers , spice shops etc. Fun fun. Our favorite stop.

Messina, Sicily

Land of The Godfather. Fun tour.

Sorrento, Italy

Docked in Naples. Very busy port. Beware of cars, buses, scooters that will run you over if you are not careful and on alert at all times. Too many cruise ships in port in early Oct. Once in the towns of Capri explore off the beaten path. Lovely.
