Royal Caribbean is a very nice cruise line offering a well-rounded, positive experience. I would love to try another one on a newer boat. I wish they would change 2 things that are an issue with all cruise lines: smoking in the casino and upselling at every opportunity.

The service in the main dining room was excellent, but often the food--particularly the meat--was overcooked. The buffet was fine. We LOVED our dinner at Giovanni's! One of the most amazing meals I've ever had, excellent service, and very reasonable prices.

All activities we participated in were nice, although we didn't do too many of them.

Loved the piano bar. The shows...well, they tried very hard, but most felt a little cheesy. I'm sorry...just my opinion.

Very clean and well kept. The only thing I HATE is that smoking is allowed in the casino. I know the two historically go hand in hand, but in an enclosed area, it's very unpleasant. My hubby loves to gamble but the smoke makes him physically sick. It's a shame. I really wish all cruise lines would reconsider that policy.
Cabin / Stateroom

Overall, very nice. The only wish I have is that the beds have a mattress pad or something to make them just a little softer. They're pretty hard! Cleanliness was great.
Ship tip
Be ready to be BOMBARDED by people trying to upsell you! Honestly, I found it very difficult to take after awhile. Someone was always pushing alcohol packages, dinner packages, etc. I just wish they did that when you're boarding on that first day, then leave it alone. It's almost as bad as being on the beach in the Bahamas or Jamaica, where someone walks up trying to sell you beads or tshirts or a massage every 2 seconds. That is NOT relaxing.
By far my fave. Love the island, the culture, the water, went to the "zoo" with monkeys and sloths, had the best guac ever. Hung out at a resort called Infinity Bay, I believe. Very nice place to hang out for the afternoon.
