Overall this was a relaxing cruise and I liked the Rhapsody a lot. This is my second transatlantic - last year I was on the Brilliance and we stopped in the Azores which was more enjoyable than the Canary Islands. I would do another but try to find one with different stops.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Never had any go so smoothly as going through the Barcelona embarkation.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Our wait staff (Ionut, Matey and Sasa) were exceptional. The food in the main dining room was good but not great. At Giovanni's one night and was very disappointed in my filet mignon. I found the Windjammer buffet rather boring even though there were lots of choices, none of it seemed very appealing to me.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Lots of trivia but I only did one. Tried to play bridge, but it was filled. Tried to go to the watercolor, but there weren't enough spaces.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Most were quite good.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Matey in the main dining room made sure everything was to our liking.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
While the ship has been "for sale" for quite some time, they are maintaining it and it looks nice.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
It was quite roomy and well kept. I liked that it was only two cabins from the mid-ship elevators. It was very quiet being on the second deck there wasn't any "activity" above me. I would try to get that cabin again or the comparable one on the other side of the ship.
Had hoped to take the whale/dolphin excursion but it was cancelled due to lack of interest. Instead got off the ship and found they had a hop on/off bus that wasn't offered as an excursion. That was quite interesting and lasted about an hour. Other than the cathedral, I was not inclined to get off the bus.
