Review summary

I do not cruise for beaches and parties, I go to relax and unwind. I like to sit and watch, people and the water around the ship. So a long stretch of days without ports is just what I want, and so this cruise is perfect for me.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Fast and easy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
As I have issues with certain ingredients I only eat at the buffet, most days it was great but there were times that the options were not as varied for people with restricted diets.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Please rethink the trivia games and stop trying to hold them (as they seem to be one of the most popular activities) in a small busy high traffic area. Give them the space needed and let us enjoy them, without having passers shouting out answers and spoiling our enjoyment.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
they were ok but just ok, nothing to rave about.

Children's Programs

no kids in my group

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
our room steward was great, the people at the buffet were always smiling and professional, I cannot speak to the dining room staff as I did not eat there.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It is an old ship and is showing it's age, it is not big and shiny but is good, there are places the carpet is coming up and the floor has a few issues on the ramps to the buffet.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The small settee was great, seldom have one of those and both of us could sit without having to sit on the bed, this was nice. It's hard to gush over an inside cabin, it was kept clean and well stocked with necessities by our room steward, so it was a good cabin.

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

3 out of 5
Embarkation only so from the airport to the ship.

Lanzarote, Canary Islands Did not visit port

I didn't find an excursion that looked interesting so I stayed onboard.

Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands Did not visit port

I didn't find an excursion that looked interesting so I stayed onboard.

Santa Cruz De La Palma, Canary Islands

4 out of 5
I went to the caldera and it was very interesting, it was well worth the price of the excursion.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
I go into Nassau to be sure I have a flight home and that I do not need to find a way to correct a flight issue. It is sad to hear while on the ship that you have to make sure that you do not take anything of value into the city with you as it is considered unsafe. I have not experienced any problems but was told to be very careful.

Tampa, Florida Did not visit port

our cruse was rerouted to Port Canaveral for safety reasons.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
really long lines and too few customs officers for the number of people
