Review summary

Personally, I still prefer the larger newer ships but this cruise fit our schedule and we wanted these ports.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Super easy embarkation! The Rhapsody is a smaller ship with less passengers so the process was less clogged.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was above average on the buffet and the dining room food was excellent! We had a few drinks but felt they certainly were not worth the price plus 18% added gratuity.

Park Cafe

5 out of 5

Park Cafe is a hidden treasure! The roast beef sliders were delicious and the salads always fresh and made to order. Perfect for a snack.

Main Dining Room

5 out of 5

There were six people at our table. Our servers were attentive and friendly. The only meal that was not well-prepared was a salmon dish; it was far over cooked. However ALL of the beef meals were amazing! The desserts seemed lacking taste and pizazz as well, but our daughter is a pastry chef so maybe Iโ€™m a little jaded. LOL

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We had little pool time due to the chilly weather. I did have acupuncture while there. The acupuncturist was amazing. The facility was beautiful and extremely clean and inviting. Most treatments were pricey.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the broadway shows and movies offered onboard. Some of the performers were standouts.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our steward Made was amazing in that we never saw him, yet he always seems to be around! Excellent service! Our servers Rayson and Mevin were attentive, friendly and entertaining. I would give them 4 stars....there were a few missteps such as forgetting to bring requests.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Rhapsody is a much older ship and a little tired looking but the common areas were spotless.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Better than we anticipated. Large closet and lots of drawer space!

Ports of call

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
We love everything about Key West!

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Best port to drink inexpensive beer! We went zip lining and had an OK time. Rain rain and more rain.

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
Rain rain and more rain. However we still went zip lining and cave tubing! What an amazing experience! Be sure to shop around on the pricing...but if you make a stop in Belize, itโ€™s a must do!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
Touristy stop..,we shopped a little bit no excursions.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy peasy with zero complications!

Was there a 70s night in your Rhapsody cruise?

I've been on the Rhapsody twice, although an older ship, everywhere was clean and the service great. I thought that the shows were good, but maybe not as much as those on the larger ships.
