Rhapsody of the Seas a nice quaint Ship

Before I start the review I would like to mention that the Centrum area stinks of cigarette smoke at night poring out of the casino area on the 5th deck, making it tough for dancing. With that said: I chose this ship a second time around for the itinerary and good price. There is a nice mixed crowd here. If you are traveling with kids maybe you should look at the larger ships in the fleet just because there maybe more activities for them. The twenty something crowd may be bored, this came up in conversation for a young college aged lady, she met very few her age. The ship is kept in clean and serviceable condition in the public areas, rugs are new , the furniture looks fabulous, but I do have a a bone to pick: why can't the cleaning crew keep the tops of the garbage cans clean, how hard is it to wipe the lids? The can in the Diamond Club was disgusting as well as a few other locations. The coffee machine in the diamond club was not kept clean at times and it was always on the fritz. The cabin steward did a nice job keeping the our room clean. No complaints there. Dinning in the main dining room on the 5 deck was a joke at best, this is not the quality one would come to expect from Royal Caribbean. I tried them two different occasions and each time the orders were incorrect. The Windjammer was an EXCELLENT place to eat all meals. They made up for the main dining room failures, offering different theme nights and waiters were very attentive to our needs. The shows were good to great if you have not seen them they are well worth your time. The overall service and staff friendliness is good to very good. The staff at the R bar could have been friendlier, most of the time they had a look on the faces like you owed them money. As for the Ports they were great except Belize, I don't even know why it's on the list. its tough to walk out that Port gate by ones self. Everybody is begging for a dollar, it gets old quick.

The 5 deck main dining room service was a 1 star for service. They never got any of the orders correct at the table, I abandon that crap and went to the Windjammer for the rest of the cruise to get better service and a greater variety of food.

It's a small ship so you are limited on the music, the house band and the orchestra. Zumba was great 2 dances classes were goo, wish they had more.

I expected better service on this smaller ship, this was the second time around in 6 months on the this ship and I was not impressed. Service was so lacking in the 5th deck my time dining room that we dined at the windjammer every night. You are better off at the Windjammer anyway, the waiters are friendly, attentive and there is a great variety of food choices and theme nights to enjoy. This Windjammer and the staff there deserve an EXCELLENT 5*****rating.

The ship is nice and clean but, BIG BONE TO PICK; I wish that the garbage can tops could be wiped so they don't have to look so ugly and scary, check the diamond club it was horrible. #2 why do I have to breath other peoples 2nd hand smoke??? Why? it is so bad, that one can't enjoy the activities in the centrum area do to the smell of cigarette smoke poring out of the casino, so bad I could not enjoy the activities in the centrum. I would go back to my cabin stinking of cigarette smoke. So no excellent on a very clean ship it has to be a good on the overall rating.

The cabin was kept clean by our steward.

The ship was so easy to walk off in the morning for locals and early flights. There were so many staff every 10ft on the port with smiles and a greeting of Welcome back, very warm and friendly atmosphere.
