Overall, we loved the small ship experience and the elevated food and service. Oceania seems to cater to a more mature crowd and we were on the younger side and still had a great time, so much so that we booked another cruise while onboard.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Port of Los Angeles (San Pedro) is easy peasy. Plenty of parking available and all port staff were friendly and helpful. The passenger demographic on this cruise skewed older and many hadn’t completed online check-in, so embarkation took longer than it should have
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food on Oceania is exceptional. Not a bad bite of anything, anywhere on the ship. Service was impeccable at all times. Just wow.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Port intensive itinerary, so not a lot of activities. Always able to find a lounge chair at the pool in the shade, which was appreciated. Enrichment speaker sessions were interesting and engaging
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Enjoyed the guest performers. Did not attend any of the cast production shows.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Above and beyond experiences we have had with other cruise lines. Truly felt so well taken care of.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This is a small, older ship that has been refurbished beautifully. Spaces are small, but well-maintained. A few tiles missing in the pool but everything else in great condition.
Cabin / Stateroom

Beautifully decorated. The bedding and towels are super high-quality. Plenty of storage. Bathroom is very small and the shower is tiny. Like RV tiny. Once you figure it out, it’s a non-issue
Ship tip
Enjoy all the extra little details. Go to afternoon tea, even if it’s not your thing and do eat the gourmet ice cream, especially the weird flavors. Yum!
Ship anchored right near the arch and the view was fantastic. Decided to stay onboard and enjoy pool day with the perfect view. Weather was just right.
Ship docks right in town. Easy proximity to so many activities. We chose an excursion to the Wild
Animal Park. A lot of uphill walking and we were exhausted by the end of the day, but the park was amazing.
Ensenada surprised us. We had a great day doing the “taco trail” excursion, that took us to 4 local restaurants. Each stop included 1 or two tacos and either soft drinks, beer or a cocktail. So delicious and the tour guide was awesome. We loved it!
Took a ship excursion to Karmina Palace all-inclusive resort. Enjoyed the facilities, but the food was awful. The drive to the resort was not scenic or enjoyable. Probably would not visit this port again, but glad we experienced it.
This was the quickest disembarkation ever, likely due to small passenger count and good organization by port staff. Love facial recognition at customs. Saves a ton of time.
