Quality of the food greatly improved when we switch to the specialty dinners. Definitely recommend the experience.

Remember that you can eat in your assigned dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you don't want to deal with the crowd upstairs. But the food upstairs was fantastic. There was lots of fresh fruits available all day long.

They have "Anytime dining" but you couldn't make reservations for some of the times we wanted. However, we had no problem going for dinner at 6 PM or earlier. Much later than that and there was a waiting line. I do like Anytime dining better than fixed.

Don't worry about being closed out of excursions. You can arrange for similar excursions at cheaper prices once you get into ports.

If you do not like something about room, dining experience, or service, let passenger services know immediately. They really do want your cruise experience to go well.

We would have liked to have participated in specialty dining; but, did not realize we had an invitation to eat there on the 1st night we were on the ship until the week had passed.

We booked our specialty dining at Sabatini's as soon as we got onboard because it is so fantastic it fills up quickly. Be patient when at this restaurant because they make your meal fresh while you wait. Worth every second.

Sabatini's is good, but overrated. The pizza and grill are nothing to write home about. Alfredo's pizza is great, and should replace the pizza in the pizza bar.

It's a luxury ship, can get a bit crowded, activities/excursions are well organized, a bit pricey but overall good experience

Try to book your tours ahead of time to save time and money. Some run out and you then are on standby if available. The Regal is only about 2 years old and is beautiful. A large ship with amenities. We did miss our port due to fog and tide in Saint John which was the only negative experience.
