Overall a great time. Next time I would book a different deck and not
Allow my credit card be connected to my kids. I was told it needed to be on there in order to utilize the beverage package. That was incorrect. My so. Could still
Use the package without the card attached.

Service and Staff
2 out of 5
I was extremely disappointed with the issue I had with the Guest Services. I had requested that my 13 year old and 14 year be blocked from being able to charge anything on the medallion. The Service Officer Helmi assured me he had blocked the medallion. He did not block it correctly and my son used it in the arcade to the tune of $125.00. When I tried to address it I was told I was responsible to pay it. After much back and forth I paid it but I felt that they should have taken some responsibility for not correctly blocking it as requested. That was a fail for their customer service.

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the cabin. Always take care of. Did not love the noise coming from the
deck above until the early hours of the morning.
Ship tip
Do not book a room on the Marina deck. It is very loud.
That really stinks that your son’s medallion was not blocked correctly. As I recall, you can set the spending limit for the minors when you go through the check-in process on the app. It works well. I set my grandson’s limit at $10 and the arcade machines cut him off right at $10. But the GS guy should have been able to do it also. It would have been nice for Princess to at least partially wave that since it only cost them some electricity in the arcade and wasn’t a tangible product transaction. Instead they cost themselves a customer. GS people often make poor decisions. Be sure to complain to Princess Customer Relations and please let us know what they say. In the end, $125 was not a bad price for a life lesson that I hope you were able to teach your son (my kid would be scrubbing toilets) and for yourself in monitoring.
LisaKitty yes I did read that part of the review, but I meant technically I don’t think you can get out of paying for what the kids spent as any business will say responsibility also lies with the customer. Princess made a mistake which isn’t great but if your bank puts money in your account by mistake and you spend the money, do they allow you to just keep it? Not knocking the reviewer or the kids by the way, won’t be the first or last family this happens to!
Glad you enjoyed the Regal. It's my habit to check my account (from the app) every day and if I don't understand a charge (occasionally happens), I head to GS. I'm sorry there was a disconnect that allowed the kids to charge but I'm glad you didn't allow that to ruin the enjoyment of your cruise... cheers!
cortneyb-Of course I did. And my son is working off the $125.00 in chores. The point is I was ASSURED by Princess they would NOT be able to use it except for the drink package. You should read the review carefully if you are going to comment.
@Dumfy75 and @courtneyb -- Did you not rear the part when she went to Guest Services, asked them to block the ability for the kids to charge on their Medallion, and the Guest Services agent told her that HE HAD DONE SO?
so did you tell your kids no spending? did you scold your kids after you found out how much they spent? or is it only the cruise lines fault? why should they pay or even 1/2 way pay? if your kids didn't listen to you if you told them so not spend x amount of dollars.... that's on your kids. make them do chores and pay you back. obviously something got messed up with the medallions, but come on... these are teenagers... if you would've said no playing over x amount in the arcade and they did...... That's on your kids
