This is our second time with Princess Cruise and we are not regretted at all. The food is excellent and service is every caring. The only thing we don't like is this ship just has too many passengers. The Horizon Court for dining is terribly crowded, stretched with its capacity. We would prefer a smaller ship for next cruise.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Embarkation by Princess was easy & smooth. But the traffic to Copenhagen Ocean terminal was terrible. It is one-lane each way road into the terminal area. We were waiting outside our hotel in city for taxi for almost one hour because most of taxi were stuck on the terminal area due to a car broken down on road. The Danish government should improve this as they earns so much money from cruises.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food and drink are excellent. The only hiccup was the first night we couldn't find our table although we had time-fixed dinning with pre-assigned table. It was very confused.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We did not spend much time on board as the cruise had many ports to call and we spent most of time offshore.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Overall they are OK, not excellent. The Russian folk dancing was great.
Children's Programs
We didn't have children with us.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Room stewards Jefferson was very helpful and he cleaned our room twice per day, making us feeling extremely comfortable during the whole cruise. Dinning waiters were friendly and helpful although they were very busy. Also Princess was very caring on the day to Berlin. After a long day of train/bus trip to Berlin, exhausted passengers back to ship after 8;30pm could still enjoy plenty of hot food served in Horizon Court.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
No complaints.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We had mini-suite on deck 11. It was clean, good size and comfortable to fit three persons. The odd thing is that the curtain between main bed and sofa bed does not block the sound from TV. The sound from two TVs or talk in the room would interfere each other. This makes the curtain not much useful.
Ship tip
Laundry in Princess ships is a great offer. But with so many passengers jammed in Regal Princess, the laundry with 2 washing and 2 dryers on each deck can be extremely busy all the time.
We like this city most. We had arrived 4 days earlier before embarkation, running around with Hop-on-Hop-off bus. Also spent one day to visit northern Royal Castles by bus tour and another day to Malmo (Sweden) by train. Malmo is a bit disappointed.
Another beautiful Baltic city. We joined private bus tour to sight see the points of interest. So many to see but not enough time. Vasa museum and Gamla Stan are must.
Not an exciting city. No grand palace. Not much to see, except the Senate Square. The Rock Church is unique. But with so many tourists jammed into the church at one time, photoing and talking, the sacredness is just not possible (although "Please Keep quiet" is kept broadcasting from a microphone).
Two days in St. Petersburg, the most grand city in Baltic Sea. This is the highlight of the cruise and the private tour TJ Travel we joined did not disappointed us at all. There are so many palaces and churches to visit, and the canal was very impressive. The Russian government makes this city the most worth to visit in the region.
A small city made us feel warm and friendly. We took Hop-on-Hop-off bus. It is complete contrary to St. Petersburg, and absolutely worth to visit. Its Old Town is the most beautiful place among all of the cities in the cruise.
It is a famous city but not a great place to visit. It took us 3 hours by train from Warnemunde to Berlin and return with another 3 hours. We joined Princess's shore excursion and could only spend little time on each point of interest for photoing. Not much unique things in the city. Charlie's Point was a joke.
We like this city very much, a quiet and beautiful sea port. Princess only gave us a few of hours so we just walked in the city by ourselves. Did not have time to see Viking Museum, instead visiting Nobel Peace Centre.
We went out the ship by ourselves and took taxi straight to airport, with a queue but not waiting too long. Princess managed the disembarkation very well.
