Overall I was disappointed in princess as a whole. The ship was fine though it lacked activities I was able to find spaces that I could relax. The sanctuary seemed like a nice area but lacked fully shaded areas the canopies let in too much sunlight for my taste.

Food and Dining

Overall the food pas passable. The main dining room as is the case on most cruise ships I have been on was forgettable, except for the seemingly constant pressure to purchase a silly little set of shot glasses to keep with an after dinner drink.
The cafeteria was well below expectations. Most of our cruises have been on RCL, and Celebrity with one each on Oceania, Norwegian, Uniworld, Viking; I expected Princess to have been a cut above RCL and Norwegian, but found it to be to the contrary.
I prepuschased the premium drink package based on a listing of the bourbons and whiskeys I found in the online bar menu only to discover after boarding that several of the listed bourbons - Blanton, Bulleit, Yamasaki were never heard of by any of the bartenders in the whiskey bar or the other bars in any of the lounges.
The Italian restaurant was a great experience, the staff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating as were most of the staff in general.
Onboard Activities

Don’t expect a lot activities here. The pool and hot tubs are it - enter at your peril.

Cabin / Stateroom

Mini suite was average. The toilet smelled like a gas station of urine. After the second day I gave the steward $10 and asked if he could have someone come in and clean around said toilet bowl with perhaps some Clorox and pinesol or whatever disinfectant that utilized, he said he would take care of it. It seemed to have abated for a couple of days then it was back again.
Ship tip
Don’t purchase the so-called premium drink package Unless you are you are a heavy drinker and or consume a fair amount of premium coffees. At $70 per day $700 for a ten day cruise, you will need to consume a lot of drinks to break even. BTW the mixed drinks tend to be very weak, the reason I prefer a high end whiskey on the rocks or neat.
