Review summary

My husband and I had never been to the east coast and were excited to go during the fall season. It was wonderful. Leaves were turning. And the weather was really nice most of the trip. We especially loved Bar Harbor, Maine. Excursions were good. The Regal Princess is a new and beautiful ship, and of course had the typical Princess-excellent food and service.  Our favorite event on the ship was "The Voice at Sea" where passengers auditioned and there was a final presentation.  Lots of talent and fun.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
I wish Princess had taken the opportunity to give some onboard teachings on the history of Boston, Bar Harbor, etc. They really missed an opportunity. There were no photography classes, historical classes, or other informative classes like we have had on the other cruises (Alaska and Panama.) We were disappointed.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
We felt that some of the presentations were inappropriate in dress and content, especially by the dancers and singers. We did enjoy "The Voice of the Sea" with the passengers auditioning and performing the last night. I would vote for that one to be repeated.

Children's Programs

Didn't need these.

I was concerned with it being toward the back of the ship, but it was wonderful. Wouldn't change the room for anything...except maybe a suite!

Ship tip

We did make reservations for our any time dining most of the time. When we didn't we had to wait. That was not a problem because in the center of the ship, they had a stringed quartet that was really good. We didn't mind getting to listen to them while we waited.
