Review summary

All of the staff, without exception, from the moment we stepped onboard, treated like royalty, always courteous and accommodating to any request we had! Professional, personal, and phenomenal customer service has always been the norm for Royal Caribbean. It is the cruiseline I choose everytime I cruise now. Even when staff are short, customer service never shows it . Teamwork is shown everyday from the first cruise staff up through the managers and directors.

Embarkation

Since the pandemic, things have streamlined to the best experience EVER!!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Chops grill was a specialty resturant and Laxmikant's personality, attention to details and customer service made the experience phenomenal. Olivia at Izumis gave us great food and a bubbly conversation! Vanisha and Aji were the best in the main dining room. Such passion to please and give the guest the best experience ever doesnt get lost on me! They were great!

Onboard Activities

Marius at the rock climbing wall was so encouraging to my grandson and accommodating with urging him to challenge himself. GREAt videos of that!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Mainliners were great! The fact that there was an actual Cinema and it was packed each and every showing might be a hint to bring back the Cinemas guys...

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
EKT, ELVIS and LEVIS at the Schooner bar were the absolute best! They were friendly and accommodating each and every time I would sit down and say "surprise me". They did indeed and wonderfully! Each and every staff member even Armando at guest services after handling a lot of complaints/ issues/ problems, greeted us with a smile and kindness. Fabulous customer sevice. Raffy was our room attendant and he was excellant, our room was immacculate and always in order! Even Wises Resturant Manager was passionate for customer service and teamwork, never frustrated always mentoring and guiding.

Ship Quality

Absolutely someone was constantly cleaning and wiping and sterilizing..just great!!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Even though it was the smaller of the cabins I have sailed in this year, it was plenty of room for 2 people and more than enough for us!

Ship tip

This is the optimal size ship for a cruise, not too small, not so large you get lost and even tired exploring- Was able to visit the entire ships venues and that was refreshing!

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

5 out of 5
We toured 2 plantations and the difference in a regular plantation and a Creole plantation were not only seen but explained . Our guide of Cajun Encounters was Renee not only knowledgeable but entertaining as well. Pam was passionate about the history and preserving the legacy of the Creole plantation of Laura. While Tony took us on a tour of a Southern plantation of immense proportions and magnificently restored, Oak Alley. All day full of information, explanation, and passion for the preserving the past to learn and understand it.

Cozumel, Mexico

We went to a park where native mayan explained, cooking dancing, chocolate making and games Chen Key Park with a fabulous guide Pedro. Tequila tasting on site as well. I wish I had known and taken more small bills as there were many opportunities to help the local enconomy.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
At Costa Maya, we went to Chacchobean where we explored the remains of MAyans and had Iglesia on Tuscan Tours who was a wealth of knowledge regarding the Mayans and their rituals, beliefs, and religion! Evon was our driver and took very good care of us to eat and then home to the ship safely.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

5 out of 5
In Progresso, we saw Chichen itza the largest of the Mayan ruins- Quoma was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about sharing and caring for the ruins- Lastly on that tour we went to a sink hole that was quite deep. It was possible to swim in the clear water, however, it was a 2 hour ride to and from leaving only 2 hours for both venues. Still extremely informative and beautiful.
