A great cruise! Royal Caribbean never disappoint! We have tried a few different companies within our price range and we believe Royal Caribbean are the best!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Fantastic... on the ship within minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Dining room food was excellent although more variety would have been nice.
Choppes Grille definitely worth the extra money... fantastic steak! Cooked to perfection!
Buffet was ok... prefer dining in the dining room for lunch on sea days as we could have salad made to order.
We used the bar services mainly the champagne bar who had excellent friendly staff, but all bars were easily accessed and friendly staff, always able to get a drink no matter where you are on the boat we were asked by many a bartender just floating around with a tray. Very happy with the service!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We participated in mini-golf, but there wasn’t enough adult clubs and balls to keep everyone going around.
Shuffleboard is one of our favourites but only one on board so if it was being used it was a long wait.
All other activities looked like fun but we prefer to do our own thing.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We probably saw half the shows on board and they were all of good quality.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff were ALL very friendly and hospitable. Our dining room waiter Pande was excellent! And our state room attendant Wayan was also very good.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Very clean but if you looked closely you could see where it was a bit old and worn.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We chose a balcony on the back of the boat as they are much bigger and we weren’t disappointed... we had a table and chairs and two lounges with plenty of room to move! Also, the wake at the back of the ship is very relaxing to watch as you move through the open ocean.
Ship tip
If you like the solarium area for relaxing on a sunbed get there early because they are premium seats which fill fast.
Duty free alcohol and other shopping always best here!
They will charge $5 per person for a bus trip to town or $10 per person by boat... I would recommend both!
There’s some nice cafes on the water where you can buy a drink and soak up the atmosphere.
Small island that you can walk around. Lots of trinkets and holiday souvenirs can be purchased here and they do take Australian dollars.
Swimming and snorkeling is good here but beware there can be strong currents.
Take snorkeling gear here! We didn’t go this time but we’ve been here a few times and the snorkeling is fantastic! Aim to go right around the large rock island... on one side it’s very shallow and corally and the other side is deep... lots of fish 🐠 Beautiful!
